V-Process Casting Grinder

TITLE:  V-Process Casting Grinder                             
REPORTS TO:  Grinding Supervisor
STATUS:          Hourly Non-Exempt – Full-Time
PAY RANGE:    $18.00 – $22.99

SUMMARY
To efficiently utilize the proper casting finishing practices and techniques which satisfy the customer and/or subsequent process operations.  Involves grinding castings of advanced complexity.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBLITIES

  • Straightening castings and finish grinding casting to customer specifications.
  • Sort castings into batches to be sequenced through the department.
  • Work as part of a team towards producing Quality parts to production standards.
  • Maintain tools and equipment in proper safe working condition.
  • Perform minor maintenance on grinders – cleaning, replacing discs, belts, etc.
  • Learn to use various hand tools.
  • Learn to read technical documents.
  • Learn to use various measuring instruments.
  • Work to posted standards and instructions.
  • Straighten, gauge and patch when necessary to meet specifications.
  • Inspect parts to posted instructions.
  • Learn gross casting defects and be able to identify them, informing the lead person or supervisor immediately.
  • Follow all health and safety rules.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENT

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Ability to work and communicate well with others

  • Legible handwriting
  • Keep a neat and clean work area.

PHYSICAL ENVIRONMENT

Physical Demands
This position requires constant standing for 8 – 12 hours, lifting a minimum of 50 lbs. constantly.

The employee will be exposed to an environment where hearing, eye safety, safety shoes, face mask and other personal protective equipment (PPE) is required.

V-Process Casting Molder

TITLE:              V-Process Casting Molder

To ensure smooth, continual, efficient production of quality molds and meet delivery requirements.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBLITIES

  • Work as part of the molding team to produce quality molds to production standards.
  • Completely perform proper molding techniques according to AS9100 work instructions.
  • Inspect molds and ensure acceptability.
  • Develop and recommend changes to enhance quality and production.
  • Be aware of and report discrepancies in the molding process to supervisor.
  • Record production and downtime accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Perform work in a safe manner, keeping the area neat and clean and following all health and safety rules.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENT

  • High school diploma or equivalent

Human Resources Coordinator

TITLE:              Human Resources Coordinator
REPORTS TO:  Human Resources Manager
STATUS:          Hourly Non-Exempt – Full-Time
PAY RANGE:    $19.00 – $23.00 per hour based on experience and/or education

SUMMARY
The Human Resource Coordinator will perform administrative tasks and services to support effective and efficient operations of the organization’s human resource department.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBLITIES

  • Maintains accurate and up-to-date human resource files, records, and documentation.
  • Answers frequently asked questions from applicants and employees relative to standard policies, benefits, hiring processes, etc.; refers more complex questions to Human Resources Manager or management.
  • Maintains the integrity and confidentiality of human resource files and records.
  • Performs periodic audits of HR files and records to ensure that all required documents are collected and filed appropriately.
  • May assist with payroll functions including processing, answering employee questions, fixing processing errors, and distributing checks.
  • Acts as a liaison between the organization and external benefits providers and vendors, which may include health, disability, and retirement plan providers.
  • Conducts or assists with applicant interviews and new hire orientation.
  • Assists with planning and execution of special events such as benefits enrollment, organization-wide meetings, employee recognition events, holiday parties, and retirement celebrations.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE

  • Associate’s degree in related field or prior related office experience preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn payroll and human resource information system (HRIS), and similar computer applications.

    PHYSICAL ENVIRONMENT

    Physical Demands
    This position requires extended periods of working in the foundry. Sitting and viewing computer monitors, as well as lifting, pushing, and pulling of material of up to 50 lbs., as necessary.

    Engineering Intern

    TITLE:              Engineering Intern
    REPORTS TO:  Plant Manager
    STATUS:          Non-Exempt – Full-Time
    PAY RANGE:    $21.00

    SUMMARY
    The Engineering Intern is responsible for engineering and quality functions, as pertains to TPi’s operations. The course of the internship will last the summer. This opportunity will provide the individual with experience in the quality department of an AS9100 foundry. Where you’ll get hands on experience with the different tasks and projects involved in TPi’s Quality Department. This position is responsible for creating clear and attainable project objectives and building project requirements in a AS9100 quality system.

    • Develop and update process sheets.
    • Utilize CAD to create foundry floor plans.
    • Ability to coordinate plant engineering functions to include but not limited to Degas testing, new metal qualification, etc.
    • Perform other related responsibilities as deemed necessary by their supervisor.

      REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE

      • Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering Technology student having completed the prerequisite engineering requirements through spring semester of their sophomore year.
      • Drawing proficiency in modeling program.
      • Must be able to multitask and demonstrate excellent organizational skills.
      • Must be proficient in Modeling and MS Office.
      • Must have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work independently.
      • Ability to multitask and demonstrate excellent organizational skills.
      • High degree of interest in manufacturing engineering, quality or operations desired.
