V-Process patterns are unique and have unlimited life. Tools are precisely machined from stable RenShape polyurethane. This material is extremely dimensionally stable and resistant to fluctuations in temperature and humidity.
Unlimited Pattern Life:
The pattern is vacuum formed in Surlyn plastic film so that the sand does not contact the tooling. This allows for the use of RenShape and prevents wear on the tool, leading to dimensional stability over time and unlimited tooling life.
Rapid Modifications:
The high-density polyurethane composite, or RenShape form board is a “soft” tooling used to create V-Process patterns. The boards can quickly be reworked or modified as needed. This reduces revision lead times and cost.
